The school now has two bands, a beginners and a continuers and is fortunate to have many thousands of dollars worth of musical instruments that have been supplied to the school from various sources over a number of years.

The school is also fortunate to have the input of two teachers, Mrs Diane Mackin and Mrs Gina Baratto who are both in the Canowindra Town Band.

Both ladies have learned their craft under the amazing Col Chick who has been an integral part of band programs in the Canowindra District for a number of years.

Lessons and instruments are supplied to the children of Canowindra Public, free of charge.

The school band performs at a number of local events, including combining with the Town Band on ANZAC day.

Many ex students have continued with their music after leaving school.
