Aged pensioners to benefit from new transport service

15 Mar, 2006 07:47 AM
Cabonne Cabs have expanded to include Canowindra, with well known local business operators Ian and Debbie Guihot recently

taking delivery of a W.A.T Taxi.

The demise of the

popular 'Doug' bus last year severely limited local transport around the town, especially for pensioners, but the Guihots are hoping the new taxi will make a difference.

Ian, along with Rob Morrison, will be

driving the taxi for the benefit of all Canowindra residents.

Talking about the new business this week, the Guihots said aged Pensioners will be able to come down town for appointments, shopping etc. and be taken home for only $5 within the town limits (inside the 50 kilometre

zone).

Group bookings may be made for meetings and functions or even an air conditioned tour of the local vineyards.

"Beat the breathalyser and let us run you home safely.

"Simply phone 0428 634 410.

"We hope all of Canowindra will come on board for a safe and comfortable

trip."
