20 Sep, 2006 07:50 AM
Are you a female and aged between 30 -50 years? Are you interested in increasing your power, fitness and sense of well being? If so, Canowindra Health Service "Power Kittens" fitness and nutrition program is for you!

The "Power Kittens" program has been designed to cater solely for women in the 30-50 year age group and is being run by local Health Staff, Sue Johnson (Physio) and Julie Middleton (Dietitian).

"We are looking forward to running another program, as results from our previous programs have shown it is quite achievable for ladies to significantly increase their fitness over a 10 week period," Sue explained.

"After Christmas we will be turning our attention to the male population and running a program specifically for them."

The program will include a pre and post fitness assessment.

Starting date is Monday 18th October 2006 at the Hospital Physio Department from 5.30pm – 6.30pm.

Following this, all fitness sessions will be weekly on Wednesdays from 5.30pm-6.30pm at the Canowindra pool.

Sessions will include both land and water activities.

Julie Middleton will be including some nutrition information in the

program with nutrition tips provided each session.

She encouraged local women to get involved.

"The program will be tailored to suit all ranges and stages of fitness, so don't think you have to be fit to join in!" Julie said.

Places are limited and so if you are interested please contact Sue Johnson (63403017) or Julie Middleton (63441314) for registration.

Priority will be given to ladies who did not participate in the "Charlies Angels" or "Ab Fabs" fitness programs over the last 18 months.

Cost of the program is $20.
