At a recent driver reviver function the Lions Club of Canowindra members wearing their Lions shirts entertained a group of young people from the UK and Holland who were on their way to a Bachelor & Spinsters dance at Holbrook.
They are working their way around Australia.
One young man asked was Lions International as his father was a Lions member in the United Kingdom.
It’s on again this year, as a part of Seniors Week, a bus trip to Manildra to the AMUSU Theatre to see the movie “Australia”.
Seniors Week is March 15 to 22.
This year the theme is ‘Live life’, which is all about getting out and getting involved in life and what it has to offer.
Cost is $25 per person, which covers bus, lunch, movie and afternoon tea.
Bus will leave the CWA Rooms at 8.00pm on Friday March 20, 2009.
