At least one more production left in Billican

25 Feb, 2009 08:20 AM
The future of Billican is looking more certain as the meeting held on Monday night was very successful.

More than 30 people attended the meeting and it was decided at least one more play will go ahead.

Spokes person for Billican Dawn Smith said she was “very happy” with the turn out.

“We will do another play, probably about September. We will have more meetings to discuss what we are going to do and talk about other ideas that came up at the meeting.”

Some of the other ideas included a trivia night.

“They prove to be very popular and something we will look to do in the near future,” Mrs Smith said.

Billican have raised in excess of three quarters of a million dollars over the years, which goes to charities and most is used locally.

Billican are always looking for new members, especially young members.
