Beanshed Play show cases local artists

25 Mar, 2009 02:40 PM
Preparations are in the final phase for this year’s Beanshed production “Canowindra -a place called home.” The young actors, their parents and eager helpers are putting the final touches to costumes and props in the final two weeks before opening.

The performance this year will celebrate some of Canowindra’s finest talent, including Mim Loomes, Frank Daniel, Nerida Cuddy and Ruth Jenkins.

The re-creation of the quintessential ‘bush basher’ car is rumoured to be a showstopper, as are the performances of young local thespians, ranging in age from 4 to 12 years.

Proceeds raised from this years play will be donated to Canowindra High School for Hall maintenance. Cost is a gold coin donation, and we would love to see community members come along and support the children who have put in a huge effort.

Tickets are available at the door.

Four performances will be held at Canowindra High School Hall; Thursday 2nd April at 10am, Friday 3rd April at 10am, Saturday 4th April at 6pm, and Sunday 5th April at 11am.

A BBQ lunch will be available after the final performance on Sunday (please RSVP). Contact Ash Wright for further information on 6344 8480.
