Billican’s search continues

18 Jun, 2008 09:16 AM
Billican productions is in search of younger members to get involved in the organisational side of things of the theatre group.

Billican member of 36 years Dawn Smith said new blood was needed to keep productions going.

“We are looking for actors, volunteers and anyone that wants to help out. We have a lot of older members and need new young ones to get in and get involved.”

Dawn said there is interest in a new play and they may have one coming from England, but unless people get behind Billican and get involved it won’t go ahead.

“We need young people and new people to take over.

“There are a lot of us that have been involved for quite a while and it is time we moved on and younger people took over,” Mrs Smith said.

Interested people should contact Dawn Smith on 6344 3219.

Billican has won several awards and forms a great link in the community. The group always gives generously to charities and local people who are in need.
