Former Canowindra resident Frank Hackett-Jones senior will have his biography launched at taste Canowindra this Anzac Day.
Melvyn Cann former husband of Rosemary Cann (nee-Hackett-Jones), was expected to provide a musical accompaniment to the evening’s entertainment, but a flight mix up means he will not be able to make it.
Melvyn is still out of the country and is not able to make it back until May.
“The night will still be fantastic, we just wanted to let people know Melvyn isn’t coming,” Bob Craven of taste Canowindra said.
Frank, who passed away in 2000, was the instigator of Marti's Canowindra Balloon Fiesta and his family is well known in the area.
An expatriate Canowindra schoolboy, Frank was the son of a local nurse Marti Hackett-Jones and successful business man Frank Hackett-Jones senior.
Frank a billionaire, founded and funded Marti's Canowindra Balloon Fiesta, hoping the people of the town would carry on the spirit and determination for many years to come, both as a memorial to Frank senior and his mother, Marti.
Most of the Hackett- Jones family is expected to attend on Saturday night.
