The Canowindra Book Club took to the beaten track and explored the life of bushranger Ben Hall, after reading the novel “You’ll never take me alive” by Nick Bleszynski.
The group, which has been going for six years, took their first field trip around Canowindra and Forbes, researching the life of Ben Hall.
The group explored Bushranger territory and visited the Bushrangers Museum in Forbes, the Ben Hall room, escort rock and visited the now Royal Hotel formerly the Canowindra Inn where the three day hold up occurred. The group had lunch at Toms Waterhole and finished the day at the Old Vic.
