Businesses urged to be involved in tourism brochure update

21 Feb, 2007 07:47 AM
In January of this year Des Bridekirk and Nick Jacobs from the Progressing Canowindra Team approached Cabonne Council for financial support to upgrade the Canowindra brochure.

"The previous Canowindra brochure had been used for a number of years and has proven to be a very successful marketing tool for businesses, attractions and events in the area," Mr Jacobs said.

"However, it is now in short supply and many of the details need to be updated."

Cabonne Council has implemented brochure guidelines for all of the villages in Cabonne - while these are in draft form the guidelines will lead to a suite of brochures for the Shire.

When all of the villages have completed their brochure the Shire will have a wonderful marketing resource.

Staff from the Age Of Fishes Museum have been busy writing to the businesses of Canowindra explaining that a Listing Form for the brochure must be completed and returned to the Age Of Fishes Museum no later than Friday 2 March 2007.

The details will then be forwarded to local graphic designer Simone Russell who will complete the design ready for businesses to sign off on their proof.

Mr Bridekirk said "Everyone involved in the brochure is hoping that the brochure will be available to businesses to use by Easter

time.

"While every effort has been made to ensure that all businesses in Canowindra have been included if there is anyone who feels that they have been left out they can contact me at the Riverview Motel or Fiona Ferguson at the Age Of Fishes Museum."
