Canowindra can be proud of its Showgirl

12 Apr, 2006 07:57 AM
Showgirl Tracy Lamb did Canowindra proud at the State Showgirl competition in Sydney.

Ms Lamb represented the Canowindra community at the competition in a very professional and friendly manner.

"We're all so proud and honoured to call you our Canowindra showgirl" Penny Nash, Showgirl Coordinator of the Canowindra Show Society said.

Although Ms Lamb did not win the State Sash she won the hearts of many in Sydney.

Many officials of the RAS and State Finalists spoke highly of Ms Lamb.

The Canowindra showgirl says the trip "was an amazing experience".

"It was great to be with 15 other girls from totally different places and completely different backgrounds," Ms Lamb said.

Handing out showbags at the Westmead Children's Hospital, visiting parliament house and riding around the main arena in a Mustang were all highlights of Ms Lamb's trip to Sydney.

The state winner was Jillian Kilby (Coonamble Show Society), 1st Runner Up was Jennifer Clulow (Bathurst Show Society) and the 2nd Runner Up was Terri Skewes (Armidale Show Society).
