Despite the doom and gloom we hear of small country towns missing out on vital health services, Canowindra has secured a qualified Pharmacist.
Lisa Chittick finished her four years of study at Charles Sturt University Wagga Wagga in 2007.
Lisa completed a full year of Post Graduate on the job training at the Canowindra Pharmacy last year and after a serious of assignments, oral and written exams and health promotion; Lisa is a fully qualified Pharmacist.
At the moment Ms Chittick is the Pharmacist in Charge.
A typical day for Lisa involves checking over scripts, talking to people and making sure all the medication for customers is ready.

Canowindra has two fully qualified pharmacists, and another is currently training to become a pharmacist.
Lisa was from the Canowindra area and during her holiday’s at uni, used to come back and work in the pharmacy.
“I used to help out and Vicki asked me to stay on... and I enjoy working here.”
