Canowindra Showground to host regional poultry sale

11 Jul, 2007 07:53 AM
The next regular Canowindra Helmsman poultry sale will be on Sunday 29 July in the poultry pavilion at the Canowindra showground.

Once again all classes of poultry, small animals (no puppies or kittens), aviary birds (not requiring a licence) and poultry equipment will be considered for sale.

The pavilion will be open for penning between 8am and 10am.

The sale will start promptly at 10.30am and conclude at 11.30am followed by five minutes final bids.

Bookings for this sale are essential and should be directed to Lyn (6345 0215). $1.00 entry fee per pen or per item. Limit of 3 birds per pen applies.

Commission - members 10%, non-members 15 per cent.

We cannot guarantee that all or late entries can be accepted.

Some of the poultry to be offered will include a good selection of roosters, pullets and layers. Attend our sale and get a few layers for the backyard or the odd chook for the garden or perhaps some chicks for the kids.

Please remember that it is illegal to transport live birds in bags or sacks (to or from the sale). Buyers should bring boxes or other suitable containers with them for transporting birds home after purchase.

Come along to Canowindra and enjoy a stress free day out without the usual hassles.

Hot food and refreshments will be available all day.

All welcome heaps of free parking.
