Canowindra Country Women's Association fears for its future if it can't attract new members.
The branch has been running for 83 years, but numbers have now dwindled to an active membership of about 10 out of the 30 members on the books.
Assistant secretary Mary Newman said the club was considering changing its meeting time to attract new members.
"We meet at 2pm on Thursdays once a month, but that doesn't suit working mothers, so we're wondering if after school or evenings would be better," she said.
Dwindling membership is an issue that is affecting service clubs across the board, as current members get older and it becomes harder to attract a new generation.
Canowindra CWA secretary Betty Jenkins said there was a misconception that CWA was just about sewing and scones, when it also offered other opportunities like public speaking and networking.
Mrs Jenkins, who has only been a member for one year, said the CWA rooms might have to be sold in the future if the branch could not get more members.
"It would be sad to see the hall close, but numbers are dwindling and getting older - we need new members and new ideas," she said.
"The reason I joined was because I didn't want to see it close because my mother had such an involvement."
New president Ellen Norman said she found the CWA welcoming when she moved to the area two years ago.
"I was new to the area and my neighbour asked me to come to a meeting as a guest and think about joining, I joined and now a year later I'm president," she said.
The Canowindra CWA wants to talk to women of all ages about what meeting times would suit them and is keen to hear any suggestions about how to boost their membership.
