The Public Pre-School and High School are holding their prize givings on December 19. The Public School at 9.30am which Anne Barwood will attend and the High School at 8.00pm where Virginia Cullane will attend.
Mrs Kumar came and gave us a talk on the traditions attached to an Indian Wedding and showed us photos of her son's wedding a couple of months ago.
She also showed us some saris worn by herself and her daughter - they were absolutely beautiful, adorned with panels of gold embroidery about ten inches wide, all attached by hand.
Using Gillian Stone as a mould, she showed us how a sari is put on. It looks intricate, but Mrs Kumar made it seen easy.
Don't forget our next meeting will be at 11.00am on December 14 in the CWA Rooms, followed by our Christmas Party at 12.30pm.
