This year marks the seventh year for the successful Cabonne Daroo Business Awards, with the Awards generating excellent interest from communities across the shire and in surrounding regions.
The assessment period for businesses for 2006 Cabonne Daroo Business Awards are now open, with business assessment forms due to close at the end of May 2005.
Businesses who have been nominated are strongly encouraged to return their completed assessment forms to the Business Enterprise Centre in Orange by the end of the month.
The Awards were officially launched recently by Cabonne Councillor Jenny Weaver at a ceremony attended by past winners, 2006 Daroo Awards nominees, town representatives and Cabonne Council staff.
Councillor Jenny Weaver used the launch as an opportunity to reiterate the value of the awards to the community.
"The benefits are many", she said. "Not only do the awards recognise the achievements of individual enterprises across the region, they also showcase the unique unity and diversity within the Cabonne community as a whole."
Over 120 nomination forms have been received this year, which demonstrates the community's commitment to the Awards and recognition of local businesses.
Cabonne Council's Economic Development manager said the community have nominated an extensive range of Cabonne businesses for awards and we encourage all those businesses who have received a nomination to complete their assessment form.
The 2005 Awards will be held in Canowindra on Friday June 16th with tickets $35, which includes a two-course meal, entertainment and a great opportunity to network with other operators and businesses from the region.
