Draft plan formulated for Springfest

A Draft Program for Springfest 2006 has been formulated.

Below is the current format, as at 12th Aug.

Festival Opening Sept 29th.

Old Vic Inn Canowindra Art Networks Equinox Exhibition

October long week end events

Sat. 30th. (in order of performance/start time)

N.S.W./ A.C.T. Balloon Club competition flying -up to twenty balloons competing

Springfest Day' Makers Markets run by Uniting Church at Royal Hotel Car park

Springfest Day Busking Competition at 20 busking stations in Gaskill St

Parade of Antique cars- Cowra antique Car club

Canowindra Dance

Vineyard Challenge- local vignerons- wine tray waiters race.

Static displays- SES, CFS, Police

Horse & Cart rides, Gaskill street, Blatchford Street, Mill Street, Clyburn Street (start age of fishes then round the block)

Historical museum Events

River's Road Organic Farm tour

Vertical wine tasting at the Falls

Cowra Jazz Band at the Royal Hotel from 5pm

Age of fishes museum open day-Puppetry- Lion's jumping Castle- Children's activities- Human sculpture

Tom's Water Hole & Balloon Joy Flights- Vine, Wine & Balloon Inspired peoples Choice art competition on display and open for voting

Sunday 1st..

Music & Picnic at taste Canowindra

Saturday Oct 7,

7pm Announcements winners & presenting of prizes with a pizza under the stars of vineyard inspired art, and balloon inspired art competition - at Tom's Waterhole wines. Jan & Graeme may hold different event this weekend and have people's choice awards later in month - details to be advised.

Official Opening tasteCanowindra- building completion allowing- otherwise soft opening.
