Fresh, authentic Chinese can be found right in the heart of Canowindra at the Golden Century Chinese Restaurant, part of the Canowindra Bowling Club.
Fans of traditional Chinese in Canowindra have enjoyed the expertise and skills of chefs Angie and Robert Luk for decades, as they have brought to the town dishes such as Honey Prawns, Mongolian Lamb, Szchewan Lamb and Chow Mein.
Angie says there are as many styles of Chinese as there are dish choices, but her special flavours have always been popular.
It’s a family affair in the kitchen, with Angie and Robert’s children also learning the recipes and helping out, passing on to the next generation the authentic cooking methods.
The Golden Century Chinese Restaurant uses locally bought produce wherever possible, shopping every day to ensure the freshest ingredients.
Always popular are favourite classics such as spring rolls, Honey Prawns and Lemon Chicken, but the Luks provide a wide choice of meals, including suggestions such as Pat Po Cha Sue Fon and Braised Beef and Barbeque sauce.
The Golden Century Chinese restaurant is open for both dine in or takeaway from Wednesday to Friday in the evenings, and on Saturday and Sunday, both lunch and dinner.
Menus are available at the Ryall St Club premises, or you can call 6344 1026 to start your next Chinese experience.
