The fresh, new paint is just about dry although the smell of it may linger on for just a little bit longer yet.
Canowindra Services and Citizens Club management have every reason to be proud of their latest renovation project, the completion of the club Auditorium.
The massive job has been ongoing for several months now and is a major financial investment for the club.
The dated and facility lacking area is now transformed, and includes a new ceiling, which has facilitated complete reverse cycle air conditioning and a fresh and modern spruce up with paint and curtaining.
Joining the new look above is new lighting and the installation of bi-folding doors, or an operable wall, which will enable the hall to be sectioned in half to cater for smaller functions.
Julie Clements, speaking for club secretary manager Grant Cummins, who is on leave, said the bi-folding wall would generate greater appeal for different sized functions, such as weddings and birthdays, than the previously oversized space allowed.
"Now with the dividing hall there are endless options for people, and with new facilities and a fresh, modern, we are expecting a very different usage of the auditorium."
Although the hall is now finished and ready for use, its formal opening will not be officially celebrated until August 20, when the Club will host a Roy Orbison tribute show.
