"The self-serve Card Xpress is a huge asset for the town, because you can get fuel 24 hours a day and there's not many towns the size of Canowindra where fuel is available on a 24/7 basis," Charlie said.

The Card Xpress machine allows people to get fuel whenever they need it and pay for it with the swipe of a card.

It accepts most major debit and credit cards and Mobil cards.

After operating the Mobil 24/7 self serve fuel station for the past four years, Charlie and Cathy Mackintosh have now become agents for Lowes Petroleum Services in the area of bulk fuel sales.

Charlie believes combining the two services will have great benefits for the people of Canowindra, as it's now even easier for them to meet their fuel needs.

Lowes has a fuel depot in Dubbo, its headquarters is in Goondiwindi and they cover an extensive area in the Central West, offering bulk fuel delivery from Cargo to Cowra out to Parkes and Condobolin.

"Lowes are a Mobil distributor and only deal in quality fuel and Mobil lubricants," Charlie said.

"Lowes buy all their bulk fuel from Mobil direct, so they can offer quality fuel at a competitive price.

"I'm happy to visit on farm to discuss people's fuel and lubricant requirements."

Anyone wishing to open an account for bulk fuel deliveries with Lowes can also obtain a Mobil account card which allows them to also bill fuel purchased at the 24/7 site to the one account.

This means when people only need small quantities of fuel they can charge it to their account from the pump when it would be uneconomical to have the small quantity delivered.
