Greater Western Area Health Service advisory council nominations close Friday

21 Jan, 2009 07:59 AM
Residents of Cabonne have until Friday 23 January to submit their nominations to become members of the Greater Western Area Health Service Advisory Council.

The vacancy is for a consumer/community member with the Health Service Advisory Council.

This Council is responsible for advising the Chief Executive of Greater Western Area Health Service on policies, plans and health related initiatives in the area.

The Council’s aim is to ensure that all involved in health care, whether consumers, community leaders or clinicians have an opportunity to have input into the way health services operate.

The Health Service is seeking a person with strong existing community, consumer links and a commitment to improving health services in NSW.

Full details of the selection criteria and how to nominate can be found on the GWAHS website http://www.gwahs.nsw.gov.au/docdo wn.php.

“I strongly urge interested people to apply for membership of the Health Council to represent the needs of local people to the Greater Western Area Health Service,” said Mayor of Cabonne Kevin Duffy.
