Flo's family arranged a birthday celebration at the Canowindra Bowling Club on December 1 at which many her family and friends were able to be present.

Flo has spent most of her early years working on the family farm and has been a keen sportswoman most of her life, participating in tennis, golf and bowls and later walk ball on the Canowindra tennis courts.

She was awarded a Citizen of the Year award in 1991 which recognised a lifetime of involvement in the CWA, Red Cross, the hospital auxiliary and her local church.

Flo has endeared herself to her family and has contributed significantly to the upbringing and support of her many nieces and nephews.
