Canowindra Health Centre and the Department of Primary Industries are hosting a Farmers Lunch and Information Afternoon on Thursday 30th November at 12.30pm at the Canowindra Ex-Services club.
The purpose of the lunch is to provide support and information to farming families, rural based business owners and other interested community members in these difficult times.
It will be an informal gathering where people can socialise as will as find out what financial support is available to them such as exceptional circumstances and subsidies for various farm operations, and how to apply for this assistance.
It is important that people affected by the drought know about the assistance that they can get financially and emotionally and also know how to access these services.
The Department of Primary Industries Drought Support Worker and representatives from Centrelink and Rural Financial Counselling will be in
attendance to speak to people on the day.
Lunch is being sponsored by the Department of Primary Industry and RSVPs are essential for catering purpose.
Please phone the Canowindra Community Health Centre by Monday 27 November on 63441314, if you would like to attend or for more
information.
