St Edward’s Primary School supporters are gearing up for the Centenary celebrations, which will take place on September 20 and 21.
Teachers, current students, previous students, parents and community members have joined together in preparation for the Term 3 historic event.
Principal Ken McNamara said there are information packs at the school for people to pick up.
“Please call in if you would like a copy and feel free to collect extras to give to people who would like to be part of the weekend. We also have an email version available for those who would like to pass information on that way.”
Vanessa Fagan is just one of the people who is helping collect old photographs and develop the time capsule.
“A memoirs book is also being developed and we are asking for stories and memories,” Mr McNamara said.
The program includes:
Saturday Afternoon unveiling the Time Capsule and the Brick Path, the Memoirs Book and afternoon tea
Saturday Night includes a cocktail party and entertainment.
Sunday Morning St Edward’s Church Mass, events in school grounds following Mass, a BBQ luncheon, burying new Time Capsule, games and activities and displays.
