Approximately sixty people gathered for the official re-location opening of Virginia Cullane Books and Booksearch at 81 Gaskill Street Canowindra, on Saturday night.
After six years in Blatchford Street the business had outgrown the premises and the move was made to the newly restored and renovated shop in the main street.
The historically sympathetic renovations were admired by all present and guests enjoyed browsing the shelves while drinks (served by Rosnay Wines) and nibbles were served.
Dr Rodney Hayward, Head of the Wood-Furniture Workshop, School of Art, ANU Canberra, performed the official opening and explained how Virginia had been searching for and obtaining many difficult to find books for him and his students for many years.
New business hours are Thursday, Friday and Saturday 9-5, Sunday 10-4.
