Billican is a non profit organisation which performs two plays a year.
The profits from our performances are returned to charity groups in the Canowindra/Cowra districts.
As a result of our last play over $10,000 was distributed and we were also able to give a large donation to Care Flight as a result of near packed houses each night.
The evening consists of a three course meal, coffee and the play all for $20.
The play, to be performed on Saturday the 21st, Monday the 23rd, Wednesday the 25th, Friday the 27th, Saturday the 28th and Monday the 30th of May, is a comedy written by Miles Tredinnick called, "Laugh? I nearly went to Miami."
Fast moving events see Tom and his Fiancée, two Elvis fans, forced to delay their trip to Miami find themselves with the wrong suitcases containing half a million dollars.
Further confusion arises with the arrival of Tom's flashy brother and Alice's eccentric Aunt.
Money appears from everywhere, thugs arrive to claim the money and there is a total mix up with the ideas each character has of the situation.
Eventually the Police arrive and the solution is found. Or is it?
Tickets will go on sale at Regency Jewellers in Cowra and Country Labels in Canowindra on Monday May 2.
Patrons are asked to be seated at the Billimari Hall by 7.00pm.
