Only a fortnight to go before the quiet backwaters of Wyangala start echoing with the sounds from one of Australia’s biggest name in country music.
At the end of November, Grabine Lakeside State Park will host its third annual Grabine Country Music Muster
Headlining this year’s entertainment will be Lee Kernaghan and supporting Lee will be Steve Forde, Shea Fisher, Paul Costa, Lee Forster and local act Brittle Jack delivering over eight hours of live entertainment.
The Music Muster is planned as an entire weekend event and perfect for campers.
Since its inception, its formula of a weekend of music, camping, relaxing and socialising has hit a chord, attracting thousands.
The Muster had become an important additional visitor drawcard for the park, which has felt the impact of low dam water levels during the drought.
This year, State park manager Jason Kirk said he and his organisers were stoked to secure Lee Kernaghan for the event.
“Lee Kernaghan is a proven entertainer with an absolute swag full of golden guitars, 28 number 1 hits and a long history of supporting rural communities,” Jason explained.
“Lee will be playing some of his favourite songs and new songs from his new album which has just been released.”
Supporting Lee this year will be Steve Forde who is coming back to Australia from his stint in the U.S.
“This will be Steve’s only show he will do in Australia for 2009 so for all those ‘Rowdy’ fans, this will be the only opportunity to see him live, following his success in the U.S with his latest album Guns and Guitars.”
Full bar facilities along with other food and beverage stalls will be available on the night. Strictly No BYOG rules will apply in the event area.
Prices for the weekend of entertainment and un-powered camping are $50 per adult, $20 for children between 10 -17, under 10 is free. This price includes unpowered camping and entry to the Park.
