Lifeball organisers appeal for more playing numbers

24 Jan, 2007 07:30 AM
Help! Help! Help! Lifeball is fading fast and for something that is so much fun and good for you, it would be very sad to see it fold.

Our numbers have dropped dramatically with people moving on, one way and another and we would really welcome some new faces, to build us up again.

Lifeball is a game which incorporates walking, passing and throwing a netball with the aim of scoring a goal through a hoop.

It encourages physical movement, thinking, teamwork and is designed for fun and

fitness.

Lifeball can be played by anyone (in Canowindra over 50) especially suited to older adults to improve heat and lung function.

Lifeball is a good way to increase circulation and reduce stiffness.

It also helps prevent falls as it improves balance, co-ordination, flexibility, mobility and well-being.

Come along and give it a try, Monday mornings at Canowindra tennis courts, 7.30am to beat the heat.

Non slip shoes, comfy clothes, hand and water bottle.
