A public meeting will be held in Canowindra, with the aim of forming a 'Mens Shed' committee.
The Mens Shed would be based at the Scout Hall, and join a number of similar programs held across the Central West.
A very successful shed has been formed in Grenfell.
The Canowindra shed is in the early planning stages.
"It's mainly to gauge public interest, and with the view of forming a committee," said organiser," Ann Stenhouse.
She said the project was mainly about "increasing men's self esteem."
"We're looking for men who are interested.
"They could do woodworks, talk, whatever they like," said Ms Stenhouse.
She said the shed was about "increasing men's self esteem" and would hopefully be open two days a week.
It would particularly focus on older, retired or invalid men, and those looking to get out of the house for a while.
"They're still a value to themselves," Ms Stenhouse said.
She said the idea was to get men "looking for support from each other, for each other."
The meeting will be held on Monday December 18th at in the Nangar Room at the RSL, starting at 7pm.
