This is the first time in its history that the Museum has done this. We met the 1000th person at the door (which
happened to be a family), yahooing and carrying on, presented them with a free fossil and took some photos.
The Brown family were visiting from Bathurst and had a wonderful time at the Age Of Fishes Museum - the children were enthusiastic - Scott was very interested in the fossils while Claire enjoyed the animals in the ponds.
Daryl Fliedner, Chairman of the Age Of Fishes Museum said "in 2008 the
visitation to the Age Of Fishes Museum was 777 for the whole month of April so we are very pleased that the Museum has experienced a rise in numbers.
To reach 1168 was very pleasing.”
The Age Of Fishes Museum has enjoyed a constant rise in visitation this year and hope that the visit NSW
promotions continue.
The promotion encourages people to stay in NSW and visit the regions.
In addition the Age Of Fishes Museum has undertaken its own
marketing and has also participated joint marketing.
Mr Fliedner added "the rise in visitors is a great reward for the volunteers who run the Museum 7 days per week."
