Public School celebrates the tradition of Anzacs

19 Apr, 2006 07:58 AM
Canowindra Public School recently held its annual ANZAC commemorative service. The service is led by the captains and prefects and representatives from each class lay a wreath.

Five representatives of the Canowindra Branch of the RSL were special guests at the service and were very impressed with the ability of the students to lead such an important ceremony as well as the efforts of staff to ensure that the ANZAC tradition was taught across the school.

Students from the school have been invited to march in the town ANZAC service on April 25th.

They are asked to be in their school uniforms and meet Miss Clements on the corner of Ryall and Gaskill Streets at 10.30.
