Cabonne residents now have access to the $100 million Residential Rebate Program as part of the NSW Government’s Climate Change Fund.
The rebates are in addition to any other rebate or incentive currently available to NSW residents.
Hot water systems, insulation or rainwater tanks installed to comply with BASIX (the building sustainability index) for new homes and major renovations are not eligible for the rebate.
There is up to $1500 available for rainwater tanks connected to toilets and washing machines, up to $1200 to switch from electric to solar or gas hot water systems and up to $300 to install ceiling installation.
Cabonne residents are eligible to apply for the rebates after the tank has been installed and any plumbing work completed.
Contact Cabonne Council to find out about planning and building requirements before installing a rainwater tank.
