Rolling out fire safety message

18 Jun, 2008 09:16 AM
Local fire fighter Barry Burn attended Canowindra Preschool to discuss with the children the importance of fire safety at home.

He went through the ‘Stop, Drop and Roll’ and ‘Get down low and go, go , go!’ procedures with all children.

He also talked about the importance of all

families having a fire evacuation plan at home so everyone in the house knows what to do in the event of a fire.

The children were keen to view the fire truck and all of its equipment too! Fire Safety is a must for all families and the children were given

goodie bags to take home with information for families to read with the children and learn more about fire safety in the home.
