Former Canowindra postie and scout leader from Canowindra Scout Troop, Dennis Tuckerman has been awarded a high scouting honour.
Mr Tuckerman was a resident of Canowindra from 1959 to 1965 and now resides in Mackay North Queensland.
"Chief Scout of Australia" Major General Michael Jeffrey notified Dennis that he had been awarded the Silver Kangaroo, which is the highest award for a scout leader in Australia.
Dennis has been in the movement for over 42 years and his current title is leader youth program - memorabilia and friends of Rowallan.
