St Edward's Primary School will celebrate its centenary this year, marking the occasion with a celebration for current and past students and staff.
September 20 and 21 have been set for the weekend of activities, which will feature the opening of a centenary walkway and a special thanksgiving mass.
Principal Ken McNamara said the milestone was a chance to celebrate all of the great things about the school.
"I think it gives us a wonderful opportunity to tell people who we are and where we're going," he said.
"Because of the huge amount of work that goes into the school from staff, parents and children, it's important to celebrate what happens in our school."
The school was founded in 1908 by sisters of St Joseph from Perthville and was originally called Holy Trinity School.
Currently there is only one sister at the school, Josephite Sister Patricia Ryan.
In keeping with the theme of celebrating history, the centenary milestone will also be marked by digging up a time capsule which was buried at the school 25 years ago.
Mr McNamara isn't sure of the contents, but believes it contains work samples, newspaper articles, school newsletters and artwork.
A centenary committee has already been formed to plan activities and events for the weekend.
Families are welcome to purchase pavers showing their names to be part of the school’s centenary walkway.
