Triple 0 fundraiser aims to solve lunch dilemma

21 Mar, 2007 07:37 AM
Young and old are gearing up for the upcoming Canowindra Emergency Services Triple 0 fundraiser night at the Services Club.

The night on Saturday, March 24, is in aid of purchasing essential white good equipment for the preschool, which is currently lacking a fridge, washing machine and other electrical goods.

Preschool Director Lana Fisher said the preschool currently has only a small bar fridge in which to store the children's lunches.

It often runs out of room, causing major headaches for staff juggling bulky lunch boxes and drink bottles.

The equipment purchase is the latest step for the major renovation work at the preschool.

During the past two years, new toilets have been constructed, a new office area, kitchen area and outdoor play area completed.

The total cost of the project work is in the vicinity of $100,000 and is all thanks to significant contributions from the community.

The community is once again asked to enjoy a night of fun, along with a good meal, with the Triple 0 Fundraiser night.

It promises to be a night of fun and games as Canowindra's emergency services crew join together to raise money for the school.

There will be also be entertainment and lucky door prizes.
