Triple certificates for Canowindra women

17 Dec, 2008 08:28 AM
Three Canowindra women recently graduated from Maureen Harmony’s College of Healing Therapies.

Kerby Lawrence, Kylie Dunn and Kirsty Smith started the 12 month course this year and had to go to Dubbo for one weekend a month to successfully complete the course.

Kerby said there were 33 students in all that did the course.

“We had to travel to Dubbo monthly and in that time have learned all different types of massage.”

The three women were presented with their certificates by Maureen Harmony herself.

“It was a really good course, but we are all glad it has finally finished,” Ms Lawrence said.

Kylie will put her new skills to the test in her workplace - at the beauty salon, Kirsty has decided to work from home and Kerby is still undecided, but may work from home as well.

Some of the techniques the girls are qualified in are massage therapies including sports massage, deep tissue massage, facial, relaxation massages and reflexology.
