The Canowindra Apex Club has hit rock bottom, hosting what could be its final meeting tomorrow night if it can't attract more members to join.
President Mark Edwards said Apex Australia's State President and District Governor will be attending a crisis meeting this week in the town regarding the future of the club.
Earlier this year the club appealed for help to the public regarding its continuation, with less than ten members keeping the ailing group together.
"We can't go on just with us," Mr Edwards said.
"We have tried to do what we can to get other people in but we need a younger group to tap into.
"We have had meetings in the past where we have called on people and asked the community, 'what do you want to do'. There's been positive feedback but we desperately need action."
Mr Edwards stressed Apex members are not just a fundraising avenue and do not exist to compete with other community organisations, such as Rotary.
"The new direction where Apex can fit in is really being a team of people
available to help out with community projects.
"In the past, we have helped out with pretty much anything - mowing lawns, cooking barbeques at the pool and manning gates at the local show.
"The aim of Apex really is to help the community in a more hands on way. One recent project that didn't get off the ground was some painting at the hospital, which didn't happen because we just didn't have the people."
Mr Edwards stressed being a member of Apex is about joining a social network which helps out the community.
"The way we see it, six members isn't sustainable, but 12 is," Mr Edwards said.
‘We just need some new faces and either way, it needs to be decided."
The Canowindra Apex meeting will be hosted at the Canowindra Hotel on Thursday, 6.30pm.
