On Saturday we travelled to Cowra to play Valleys.
We started off very shaky losing early wickets then entered the main man, Tim “Spiros” Kennedy.
He beleted 138 with 19 fours and one six.
It was lucky Tim was there because our next best was Wayne Rue with 19.
Congratulations Tim, this is your second hundred this year and your average is 138, a great effort.
Let’s hope you aren’t out for too long with your groin injury.
We started well in the bowling with Matthew “Hairy” Veney O’Malveney taking two wickets.
Then came Matt “Get this up ya” Jake Devlin, bowling average he too a hat-trick.
In that hat-trick was the best catch of the century by Craig “Guan” Carpenter.
Fielding in the outfield he plucked the ball out of the air for a corka of a catch.
Troy Adams finished the game off well by stopping the Valley’s run chase six runs short of victory.
Congratulations boys on the win and we’ll need someone to step up next week for Tim.
