The Canowindra side needed every one of Delaney’s seven wickets as they, themselves, were earlier bowled out for just 57. Delaney’s haul ensured a tight six-run win.

Poor batting hindered Services when they set about setting a sizeable target. Matt Stammers and Brad Kennedy both took three wickets for Golf Club while Pat Kennedy (13) and Jacob Devlin (10) were the only batsmen to reach double figures.

Likewise, only two Golf Club batters could reach double figures (Kennedy 17 and Blair Holgate 16).

But Delaney’s man-of-the-match performance was enough to send Services to victory.
