Canowindra won the toss and batted first. McClintock and Penukonda contained the openers. Penukonda struck in the second over to remove Bennett, while McClintock bowled with great accuracy.

Devlin and Lamond started hitting out until Penukonda took a great high catch.

Tidswell then dominated with a fantastic 4-11 including a good catch of his own bowling.

Newham took a wicket with a swinging delivery and Nick Rowston took 2-2 with his left arm pace.

Newcomer Craig bowled with great pace and length. Lachlan fertilizers fielded extremely well to contain the opposition.

Devlin and Blake Willson tried very hard for Canowindra.

Openers McClintock and Tidswell started the run chase fairly slowly with Lamond and Bennett bowling with good pace and length.

Bennett struck in the sixth over removing Tidswell. McClintock upped the run rate before retiring for a well-composed 22.

Crook was out to a good catch by N Willson and Reed was batting strongly before being bowled. Canowindra bowlers tried hard but could not defend heir low score, however, all fielded with great enthusiasm in their first match of the season.

Devlin kept very well and N Willson made some great saves in the field.
