Soccer players adjust to the colder conditions

Soccer players adjust to the colder conditions

28 Jul, 2010 12:35 PM
Canowindra’s 12’s Fury have returned from holidays. Many have had to adjust to major

climatic changes, sickness and a general lack of time on the paddock.

It was always going to be a tough game!

Many of the team started a little sleepy after an exhausting game the previous week but Jo, Hayley and Jack worked solidly to keep pushing the ball through to the forwards finally being rewarded when Lachie pushed one in.

In the second half Brenton, Tom, Cody and Amelia continued to shine in the backs and

everyone else woke up with a bang!

Shots at goal were coming from everywhere and then Becky beautifully finished off a magnificent kick and with great attacking play she earned

herself another goal.

Mitch and Brenton were unlucky not to score and Kyle and Miles were everywhere in attack.

Lachie pushed in another goal from some great team play in the lead up.

Tom made many strong runs and with the girls in the back thwarted the attack many times over.

Player of the week, Cody, played out of his skin,

hassling and attacking at every opportunity.

Yet again it was a team effort to come away with the 4-1 win.

Bring on the next game!!
