Under 8s forced to play four a side

Junior soccer match reports.

Under 6s

LVA Kookaburras v Mr Embroidery Wallabies

Kookaburras: After a couple of weeks' rest, the Kookaburras were down a few players, however they had a fantastic game with Olivia and Ryan controlling the play in the first half and Emerson keeping out the goals. Emerson scored three goal and Ryan scored two goals in the second half while Olivia folded her arms to keep warm while goal keeping.

Under 8s

Kookaburras v Martins Kangaroos (1-8)

Kookaburras: A great effort playing four a side. All players, Tim, C'iaran, Skye and Lydia, in the first half attacked and defended well. In the second half Trent also attacked and defended well. Thank you to Trent and Sky who played a half each with the Kangaroos. Player of the week Tim.

Goannas v Dingoes

No card returned

Under 10s

Olympic v Stallions (6-1)

Stallions: A great effort against a tough team, fastastic goal keeping by Lachie (who was also our only goal scorer) and Renae. Wonderful defence by the backs, Cassie, Caleb, Tom, Aidan and Matt, who thwarted many offensive attacks.

Wolves v KFC Knights (3-1)

Wolves: Great win to the Wolves. It's been a long time coming. Every player played a big role in this great win. Brenton and Brittany were great in attack, scoring four goals, well back up by Tim, Rhys and Maddie. Brooke, Logan and Sophie were very good at the back. Paris, Chris and John had big games in the middle. Eloise was fantastic in the goal. Go Wolves!

Under 13s

Imperial Knights v Wolves (1-1)

Knights: Fantastic effort Knights. Cold conditions didn't slow you down at all? Great goal keeping by Brandon and Cameron saw you keep the pressure on the Wolves. Great team work everyone! Player of the Week Brandon Vickary.

Wolves: no report.

McFeeters Olympic v Stallions (4-1)

Stallions: Wow! Let's just go to the second half. All we had was the 11 players but what players I have. Nicole went to gaolie and talked us up. Clare, who was hurt, and Isaac, who was sick, played on and were great with Isaac rewarded with a goal. Ali, Lucy and Taryn all marked up well and busted themselves. Ebony and Hannah caused problems to the opposition all through the half and very unlucky not to be rewarded. At the back, Montana, Eddie and Lachie, who had his best game of the season, were just terrific. Thanks kids, you make my life so good. Proud of you all. See ya Thursday.

Under 16s

United v Wolves

No card returned.

I believe the score was 1-1. Wolves played a great game with no reserves on a very cold day. The Bennett boys shared goalie duty, with Cameron in goal in the first half and Murray in the second. Lachlan scored our only goal but harried the opposition's goalie all game, ably backed up by Toni and Jamie. Callum played his usual rock steady and ever present game.

Stallions v Cowra Motors Cosmos (4-2)

Stallions: Good win to the Stallions with only nine players. All the forwards scored. Cait and Peter one each, Jamie T got two and was unlucky not to score more. Jamie B defended brilliantly as he does every week and was well supported by Ashley and Amy. Sam Beath was unlucky to let 2 goals in but said after the game it was his strategy. Bonny got Player of the Week, attacked everything and was everywhere. Cait got 2 points, 1 to Jamie T. Teiya played her usual game and attacked everything.
