Last Sunday in glorious conditions we played a 18 hole stroke event for the August monthly medal. This event was sponsored by Alan Wyburn and Mark Grant.

Thanks very much for your continued support of the Golf Club. Winner of the day with a 92 off the stick nett 64 was Corey Knight. Well done to Corey and I reckon Mr handicapper might want to have a word to you also.

Runner up was Malcomb Millar who for the second week in a row was just pipped on the post with his 91 off the stick nett 65. He will also get a visit from the handicapper this week.

Third place went to Rowley McCall who shot 88 off the stick nett 67 to beat little Adam Rodgers on a countback.

Next week we will be holding a fun day which is open to everyone who wants a game. The format will be a 4 person ambrose over 18 holes.

The event will be sponsored by the Webb family and I hope that we can get a big attendance to make this a great day for all.

I would like to give our cooks a big thank you for looking after us over the last two weekends. Last week it was Rowley’s lovely wife and this week it was the Bear.

The information from my informant was spot on and Luigi has been given the boot. My cheque has been received and it now seems my job is done.

So unless Luigi or someone else who wants to impersonate him starts to write in the Bowly news and results column my services will no longer be required.
