Sundays 18 hole competition was an 18 hole stableford sponsored by the Canowindra Newsagency.

The winner was Don Taylor, second place was Norm Tuckwell, third to Brian Moon, fourth George Greenhalg and fifth place went to Seymour Maere.

Thanks to Graeme and Debbie for sponsoring this event.

The club is raising some finance to update our grounds and equipment to keep our course in top condition.

There is going to be some advertising put on the Tee Blocks so if any of the members or sponsors wish to advertise their businesses or products please contact the club.

The cost is $100 per year for five years.

There was only four players in the nine hole competition so there is a carry over the next week.

Tee off time for this competition is any time before 10.00am and it is only $4 to play and everyone is welcome to come and have a hit.

Coming Events:

Sunday May 28 - May Medal Murray Cup Qualify sponsored by Norm and Mavis Tuckwell.

Sunday June 4 - Two person multi-stableford sponsored by P Jeffress and G Cashen.

Sunday June 11 - 4 BBB versus Stableford.

Remember that green fees have to be paid at the club before going onto the golf course to be covered by the insurance.

Mid Week Golf Competition

On Wednesday there is a nine hole competition. Cost is $5.00 per player for Canowindra Golf Club golf members, $10.00 for Canowindra Golf Club social members and $15.00 for non members.

The winner and runner up scoop the pool for the best net scores.

All cards go into the draw for the chook, which is provided by Graeme Beasley of the Old Vic Inn.

Golf Cars for Hire

The Canowindra Golf Club has three golf cars for hire. Cost is $25 for 18 holes and $15 for nine holes.

Darts News

Darts are on every Wednesday night. Names in by 7.30pm for an 8.00pm start.

Cost is $2. Everyone is welcome.

So come along and have some fun. Even if you have never played darts before and don't have any darts come along and we will get you started.

Raffles

Saturday night winners were Chris Wren, Kerrie Clark (2), Jean Davis, Ken Wilson, Barry Burn (3), Thelma Bliss (3), Joyce Middleton, Doug Slattery.

There are 15 prizes, 11 meat trays, one fruit and veg and three other prizes.

Tickets are on sale form 6.30pm with the draw at 7.30pm.

The members draw was not won this week so Saturday nights draw will be $800.

The 9.00pm draw for $80 was won this week so it will be $60 next week.

Sunday raffle winners were Pam Mathews (2), Jim Reid (2), Joe Callan, Sharee Paton (2), Jodie Paton, Ian Brown and Doug Slattery.

The Monday to Friday draw which is drawn between 5.30pm and 6.30pm is $220.

Footy Tipping

The leader in round 11 is Wendy Slattery with 55 points, second is Gary Boardman with 52 points, equal third are Joe Armstrong, Joe Defreitis and Kevin Slattery with 51 points and Gavin Callan has 50 points.

State of Origin is on the big screen on Wednesday night with discount drinks, bar snacks and promotional giveaways.

Our next social night is Friday May 26 with live band 3% Creep.
