Rule of the Week Question: Q. "My ball is on the green and a sprinkler head on the green is in my line of putt. Am I entitled to line of putt relief?" Answer: Yes, see Rule 24-2a.
The player may lift the ball, and place it, without penalty, at the nearest point of relief that is not in a hazard.
This point may be off the putting green.
In the Bunker: Red faced lady golfer The lady golfer was a determined, if not very proficient player.
At each swipe she made at the ball earth flew in all directions.
"Gracious me," she exclaimed red-faced to her caddie, "the worms will think there's an earthquake."
"I don't know," replied the caddie, "the worms round here are very clever. I'll bet most of them are hiding underneath the ball for safety."
See you at the 19th Annette
