However there will be a general meeting on Monday, April 28, at the Cowra library rooms. Senior teams need two representatives and juniors require one at the meeting - points will be deducted for non-attendance.

Hockey caters for the littlies with Minkey and under 11s hockey.

Kids five and over can come to the fields at 11.30am on Saturdays and be taught the basics of hockey in a safe, fun learning environment. The Minkey will be put through their steps by Di and Elyse while under 11s practice skills and then a modified game - sticks can be borrowed on Saturdays from the canteen.

Under 15s play full field games with extra help from ghost coaches who are able to help players who are new and those that need help with positioning and general play. Safety is first and foremost.

All junior players must wear mouthguards and shin pads to training and games.

Players are reminded of the ‘no pay, no play’ policy. Make sure that you are financial before taking the field.

Junior starter kits are available for $20 from Cowra Hockey and are supplied by Just Hockey. These kits are great value for juniors who are just learning the ropes. The kit contains a hockey stick, a ball, shin guards, a mouth guard and a 10 per cent discount voucher for Just Hockey merchandise.
