Barry Crump, Barney Robson and Phil Jones have won the Major Triples final for 2007 in defeating Cyril Webb, Vince Mirto and Bill Draper.

Jonesy’s team were never behind though the match just holding that slender lead by two or three shots up until the 13th end.

From there Jonesy’s gang hit the go button winning the last eight ends to run out comfortable winners 25 to nine.

Minor Triples Champions

Don Wilkin, Steve Fisher and Vince Mirto are the Minor Triples Champions for 2007 by defeating, in a very hard fought match, Toby Newcombe, Moose Cassidy and Cyril Webb 25 to 22.

Mirto’s team jumped out of the boxes to lead ten to two on the seventh end. But the lead was not to last with Webby’s team clawing their way back to be trailing by one.

On the 12th end Mirto’s team dropped seven shots to give Webby’s team the lead at 17 to 14.

As the next eight ends played this was very entertaining bowls. It is sad to have a loser because this match had everything.
