One Club match played which was a Nominated Pairs game between Christine Pickard and Colleen Crump and Jill Messenger and Betty Jenkins.

Pickard and Crump were the winners in this game as Jill and Betty left their run a bit too late and only started catching up in the closing stages of the game; playing only 21 ends they ran out of ends to play.

Congratulations Christine and Colleen on your win.

We hope this week to play another game in the Club's Nominated Pairs match, hopefully this will be between Daphne Bryant and Moyna Rue and Di Mooney and Gwen Hayden.

The Finals of the Handicap Pairs is also set down for next week between Sheryn Fisher and Shirley Robson and Betty Jenkins and Colleen Crump.

We do hope these games can be finalized as our Presentation Night will be held February 16 and we are running out of time.

We had a rather quick meeting this week with nothing of major importance being discussed - our next meeting will be February 19.

On page 9 of our most recent Journal of Bowls News, I recommend to all the bowlers to read the "Points to remember when playing bowls", for some of our newer members this may be helpful.
