Results for four matches played last week
Tuesday 3rd – consistency semi-final – Nancy Morrow defeated Shirley Robson 151-149.
This was a great game all the way over 29 ends decided on the last end when Nancy was leading 147-143; Shirley scored 6 and Nancy 4 to claim a win. Nancy now plays Colleen Crump in the final.

Thursday 5th – Rose Bowl Handicap Singles Semi-final – Gwen Haydon defeated Colleen Crump 31-19. Thanks to marker Deanna Noble.
Thursday 5th – CWA Handicap Pairs Semi-final – Bobby Turner and Shirley Robson defeated Julie Dawes and Dianne Mooney 26-17. The final will be played against Sheryn O’Malveney and Colleen Crump.
Saturday 7th – Pairs championship final – Deanna Noble and Shirley Robson defeated Moyna Rue and Colleen Crump 32-10.

We had a roll up of 17 players for the Melbourne Cup last Tuesday.
There were three rinks of social bowls 1 triples and 2 pairs. Jill Messenger, Bobby Turner and Julie Dawes defeated Linda Miller, Margaret Gosper and Betty Hodge. Sandy McDonald and Colleen Crump defeated Rose Veal and Monya Rue. Joy Beattieand Deanna Noble defeated Doris Pfeiffer and Ellen Petty. The lucky draw was won by Betty Hodge.
After bowls we all enjoyed a very tasty lunch and then watched the Melbourne Cup race. Our sincere thanks to Colleen and helpers for organising the sweeps. A job well done.
Congratulations to Monya Rue, Nada Kurta and Colleen Crump on their great win at Dubbo Railway Club in the Bottlebrush Triples Tournament held on the 30th/ 31st October and 1st November. They had 4 ½ wins + 54. The Prize money to share was $1500, well done bowlers.
A correction, bowlers on the previous bowls news, on 1st December we are having our birthday girls luncheon and the Christmas party is being held on the 8th December, our final day for bowls this year, the venue yet to be decided.
Best wishes to President Betty Jenkins who is undergoing surgery ontuesday 17th November after bowls.
